What is an English Cream Goldendoodle?
While a standard Goldendoodle is a mix between a Poodle and an American Golden Retriever, an English Cream Goldendoodle uses an English Golden Retriever lineage.
English Golden Retrievers are fundamentally different from their American counterparts. Bred to stricter European kennel club standards, they possess a distinct blockier head, broader chest, and a gorgeous pale cream to almost white coat.
When you cross these majestic dogs with a Poodle, you get the unmistakable English Cream Goldendoodle. At Canterbury Canines, we specialize exclusively in these lines because we believe the resulting puppies are structurally and temperamentally superior.

The most remarkable trait of the English Cream Goldendoodle isn't just their looks—it's their personality. The English Retriever lines are famous for being significantly calmer and more laid-back than high-energy American lines.
We frequently describe our English Cream puppies as having an "old soul." Even as young puppies, they tend to be highly observant, gentle, and eager to please rather than simply energetic. They are incredibly intuitive to human emotions, making them phenomenal candidates for therapy, emotional support, and service work.

Understanding Generations: F1, F1B, and F1BB
You'll see these letters on every Goldendoodle listing, and they describe how far back a puppy's lineage sits from its purebred parent breeds.
F1
First generation — one purebred English Golden Retriever parent and one purebred Poodle parent. Coats tend to be wavier and shed a bit more than later generations.
F1B
An F1 dog bred back to a purebred Poodle. This generally produces a curlier, more hypoallergenic and lower-shedding coat than a straight F1.
F1BB
An F1B dog bred back to a Poodle again. F1BB puppies are typically the curliest and most allergy-friendly of the three generations.
Sizes We Raise
Canterbury Canines raises English Cream Goldendoodles in four sizes — Micro, Petite Mini (roughly 14–20 lbs), Mini (roughly 21–40 lbs), and Standard (41+ lbs) — so families can choose the size that fits their home and lifestyle, all while keeping the same calm, blocky-headed English Cream look and temperament across every size.
Coat & Shedding
No dog is 100% hypoallergenic, but English Cream Goldendoodles are considered low-shedding and allergy-friendly, especially in the F1B and F1BB generations. Their signature pale cream to almost-white coat is one of the most recognizable traits of the English lines, and it pairs with a soft, wavy-to-curly texture that most families find easy to live with.
Most families with mild to moderate allergies do very well with our Goldendoodles. If allergies are a serious concern in your household, we always recommend spending time with the breed in person before bringing a puppy home.
Health Testing
Every parent dog in our English Cream program undergoes comprehensive genetic health testing and OFA evaluations. We use Embark DNA testing, which screens for over 250 genetic health conditions, so families can move forward with real information about their puppy's background.
Puppies also come with a 1-Year Hip Guarantee against genetic moderate or severe hip dysplasia and retinal eye disease, as long as they stay on Exclusive Signature food for their first 12 months.
How Early Neurological Stimulation Shapes That Calm Temperament
The English Cream "old soul" personality doesn't happen by accident. From days 3 through 16, every Canterbury Canines puppy goes through Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS) — a series of gentle, specific exercises originally developed by the U.S. military's "Super Dog" program. ENS has been shown to improve cardiovascular performance, strengthen the immune system, and increase tolerance to stress, and paired with our English lines' naturally calmer temperament, it produces puppies that mature into confident, adaptable adult dogs.

What Our Health Guarantee Actually Covers
The 1-Year Hip Guarantee protects against genetic moderate or severe hip dysplasia and retinal eye disease, with OFA or Penn Hip evaluations and a CERF-certified veterinarian confirming any hereditary eye conditions. Because a large share of canine hip dysplasia is tied to nutrition, the guarantee requires your puppy stay on Exclusive Signature food for the full first 12 months — if a puppy is switched off that food before 12 months, the guarantee becomes void.
We also encourage every family to have their puppy examined by a licensed veterinarian within 72 hours of bringing them home, so any concerns are caught early and your puppy's health record stays complete from day one.
English Cream vs. Standard Goldendoodle
A standard (American-line) Goldendoodle tends to be highly intuitive, eager to please, and more "dog-like" and interactive, ranging anywhere from about 15 lbs up to 65+ lbs depending on size category. An English Cream Goldendoodle carries that same intelligence and devotion, but layered with the calmer, more observant "old soul" temperament and pale cream coloring that come from its English Golden Retriever lineage.

Price & How to Reserve
Our English Cream Goldendoodles are currently priced at $3,000–$3,500. A $250 deposit sent via Venmo reserves your place on our waitlist and is applied toward the total purchase price of your puppy — it's non-refundable but always transferable to a different puppy or future litter.
When a litter becomes available, families on the waitlist are contacted in order with prices, pictures, and videos of the available puppies, and you'll have 8 business hours to pick your puppy or pass to the next family in line. Puppies go home at 8 weeks old, and delivery can be arranged for the cost of travel plus a nanny fee if you're outside our local Eagle Mountain and Utah County area.
