What Your Price Includes
Every parent dog in our program is Embark DNA tested for 250+ genetic health conditions and OFA evaluated before being bred, and every litter goes through Early Neurological Stimulation from days 3 to 16 to support calmer, more confident adult temperaments. We're also entirely kennel-free — many of our parent dogs live full-time with local Guardian Home families rather than in a facility, coming back to us only to breed and whelp. All of that goes into every puppy before your price ever comes into play.
For the full picture of our approach to health testing and ethical breeding, see our Breeding Standards page.
How the $250 Deposit Works
A $250 deposit reserves your place in line for a Canterbury Canines puppy, and the easiest way to send it is via Venmo. Once your deposit is placed, you are added to our waitlist in the order it was received.
Your deposit is applied directly toward the total purchase price of your puppy — it is not an additional fee on top of the price listed above. Because demand for our puppies is high, deposits are non-refundable, but they are always transferable to a different available puppy or to a future litter if your circumstances change.
When a litter becomes available, families on the waitlist are contacted in order with prices, pictures, and videos of the available puppies. You will have 8 business hours from the time you are contacted to choose your puppy or pass. Passing preserves your place in line for the next available litter.

Delivery & Local Pickup
Many families pick up their puppy in person in Eagle Mountain, Utah. For families further away, delivery is available for the cost of travel plus a nanny fee, which gives your puppy one-on-one attention for a safe, comfortable trip. We can also connect you with a trusted, reputable puppy nanny service, and we're happy to coordinate travel arrangements around your schedule.
If you need a few extra days once your puppy is ready, please plan to pick up or receive delivery within 7–10 days of placing your deposit (once your puppy is 8 weeks or older). A boarding fee of $45 per day applies for each additional day. We also offer a Stay & Train option for $75 per day, which adds crate training, potty training, and basic commands during that time.
Guardian Home: A Path to a Free Puppy
If you'd rather not pay the full purchase price, our Guardian Home program lets an approved local family raise a "Pick of the Litter" puppy in their own home completely free of charge. In exchange, Canterbury Canines retains the breeding rights for a contracted number of litters, and we cover all breeding-related veterinary expenses — genetic testing, ultrasounds, and whelping care — along with at least two visits per year.
Guardian families need to live within about 1.5 hours of Eagle Mountain, Utah, have a fully secured, fenced yard, and keep the dog strictly as an indoor family pet. Learn more and apply on our Guardian Home page.
